HI FOLKS, ACTUALLY I I FOUND THIS BEHIND A BARN IN UPSTATE NEW YORK AND HAD TO HAUL IT OUT OF THE YEARS OF MATTED HIGH GRASS SURPRISINGLY THIS IS NOT ROTTED THROUGH, ITS BUILT LIKE A 54 CHEVY AND IT WEIGHS A TON, ORIGINALLY BUILT BY MITSUBISHI OF JAPAN FROM WHAT I READ SO FAR, THESE ARE BECOMING THE RAGE IN SCOOTER RESTORATIONS. PARTS CAN BE FOUND ON VINTAGE SCOOTER SITES SURPRISINGLY IT’S 80% PERCENT COMPLETE. MISSING REAR DROP PAN AND SEAT, ONE SHOCK, A PULLEY AND BELT WILL NEED NEW CABLES AND HAVE THE ENGINE GONE THROUGH. Odd Pigeon
Published in UncategorizedNot sure exactly what’s going on here with this odd ball.
It doesn’t look like a factory job like the golf carts they made, maybe its the ugly duckling offspring of a Tote Goat and a Pigeon. Kind of think its a home built since the frame looks to be grafted to what was left of the pigeons forward frame. At any rate heres a link to the craigslist ad if your feeling adventurous.

More pictures added to the gallery. Nothing to crazy but having more things to look at is always nice. As far as I know the gallery here may be the biggest collection of Silver Pigeon Images on the web. Also, I will be trying to get a page up that list replacement parts and where to get them hopefully. I don’t want it to take anything away from the other Pigeon site out there so I’m still not quite sure on how it will be laid out yet.

| Description | Yes, its the Achewood Rally: you can see it in the gallery at Achewood . com Chris has said it is the only commission he will ever do. It is a rare artifact that will appreciate over time. Other provenance: It is a Redwood City (home of Achewood) bike. Viva Vespa dealer sticker still visible, 1976 community college parking sticker. Original paint, with patina of UV exposure and weathering. Seat is perfectly crazed and cracked. Unlike pics, it comes with the original California Blue Plate. If you have no appreciation of original surfaces, I do not wish to hear of it. The Vespa anorak stats: everything has been done. Mallossi 210 kit, new cut crank, sito exhaust, lightened flywheel, P200 stator and electrics (NO femsatronic). New Michelin tyres and brakes, new cables inner and outer, new wiring. Speedo does not work, needs gear in VDO, and DOT turnsignals have been removed. Work has been done by scooter centre and moto amore and they will stand by all enhancements. The ride: It is so fast that Jeremy Clarkson maintains a running dialog as you drive. Mostly yelling “Oh my god, I’m going to die”. The engine is overpowered for the brakes and handling. Please conduct yourself accordingly. It is loud, it vibrates, and your neighbors will hate you. |

Silver Pigeon Scooter Gallery is up

Got the Gallery up today. If you happen to have some pictures to add to it let me know and I’ll throw them in there. I hope that its a good help for anyone looking for photo references of what they might be missing, or what models had what. I know I mislabeled some of those bikes with the wrong C-## so just drop me a line if you find anything that needs correcting.

Downloads are up
Published in UncategorizedOkay got the Downloads section up and running. The three manuals I have are, the C-73 Silver Pigeon Owners Manual, the C-74 Silver Pigeon Parts List, and the C-90 Silver Pigeon Parts list. Sorry for the long winded sentence, hopefully it will pull in more google hits if people search for “Silver Pigeon Manual”. Those PDF’s are all scans of the photo copy’s that came with my C-75, which in turn I assume came from the late Marvin Wuehle.
If you happen to have any manuals, catalog listings, ads, etc. that could also be posted here please let me know.
Also in Pigeon related news, I was able to pick up a C-90 off Ebay/Craigslist and will be going to get it this weekend which is pretty awesome. I was originally wanting it just for parts to finish my C-75 but it looks to be all there and it wouldn’t be right to rip it apart so I’ll probably end up just riding it this summer if possible and then just keep the other one as a rat bike or find something else for parts.
